Youth Performance and Panel Discussion with Local Artists

Description:
Students from the New Orleans Creative Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA) perform monologues of prisoner's writing from the Stories from Prison / Honoring Ancestors project and explore the theme of what it means to be made to feel like a problem. Artists Imani Jacqueline Brown, Brandan "BMike" Odums, Jackie Summell, and Voice Monet respond to the students artwork and discuss art and social change as it relates to criminal justice.
