Voting is (should be) a right for all citizens. Period. The more diverse voices we have, the more the political landscape will actually reflect it's citizenry.

allowing the state to strip people of their voting rights via incarceration creates strong incentives to criminalize and convict those populations which oppose their policies, it also enables the stripping of rights from mjnority groups, particularly POC
