A small sample of self-declared plans for residency after release from detention offer insight into migrant settlement dispersion in the United States.

Data was collected from detainees by Raíces (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services) between May 18 and July 6 of 2015 upon the individual's release from four detention centers in Texas.
