Artist-Activist Mark Strandquist presents his Windows from Prison and Performing Statistics projects and conducts a workship on social justice in New Orleans.

Artist Brandan Odums conducts a workshop for incarcerated youth on the power of public art in preparation for its display at the Youth Summit at the Ogden Museum of Art.

Artist Rachel Speck, of the New Orleans Community Printshop, brings print making to youth in juvenile detantion.

The "Stories from Prison/Honoring Ancestors" project invited people who are currently incarcerated at the Louisiana State Penitentiary to send stories about loved ones who passed away while they were locked up and describe how they would honor them. Student from the University of New Orleans performed these commemorations and mailed pictures back to the original submitters.

Gerald Davis visits the States of Incarceration opening at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art in April 2017. Gerald, who was involved in the Stories from Prison letter writing exchange with UNO students when he was at Angola, has since been released and was at the opening.
